Program Requirements
Students who wish to minor in Arabic, must take six courses designed to develop linguistic skills and to give basic understanding of Arab cultures and societies.
Five of these six courses must be language courses such as the sequence: ARAB 101, 102, 201, 202, and 301. In addition, in order to develop a basic understanding of Arab cultures and societies, students are required to take a literature and/or culture course in English: ARAB 224, 225, 226, 227, or 228. A course in the Middle East Studies of the International Studies program may count toward this minor. No more than one transfer credit may be applied to the minor. Students must earn a minimum of C- for all courses counted toward the minor.
