Program Requirements
The marine studies minor consists of six courses—two foundational courses offered at Trinity (Group A) and four required core courses offered by one of the approved off-campus programs (Group B). Two courses from Group A must be successfully completed prior to enrollment in one of the off-campus programs. Because a number of the courses (*) listed below are not offered in every academic year, it is recommended that students begin the course requirements for the marine studies minor no later than their sophomore year. The required core courses offered in the Williams-Mystic, SEA Semester, and Duke Marine Lab programs are listed as Group B.

Duke University Marine Lab Program
Students must complete a full fall or spring semester program consisting of 4 courses offered by Duke University Marine Lab Faculty, inclusive of a Research Independent Study course mentored by a Duke University Marine Lab Faculty. Specific courses offered in a given semester are subject to change but may include courses offered at the Duke University Marine Lab in Beaufort, NC and travel courses offered through the Duke University Marine Lab.
